LITTER PICK 12th February 2011

We had a great turnout of volunteers on Saturday the 12th to undertake a litter pick of the site including the footpath, playing fields and we gathered lots of rubbish, including some big items (how on earth do they get there!!!!!!) The weather helped us on Saturday and some of us managed to keep working until 12.30pm. The volunteers made a good start at tackling the old man's beard that is strangling some of the trees, which run along the centenary walk. This has exposed some very beautiful and interesting trees. We hope that we can run another event just to clear some more of the old man's beard.

A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT CAME ALONG AND WORKED VERY HARD!
